The Government of Ecuador, which had initiated cooperation with WIPO for the establishment of a national IP Academy during phase I of the projet, has requested to be reconsidered as a beneficiary country within the start-up academies project as from 2014.
In order to initiate complying with this request, and ICS was offered to Ms. Valentina Delich for the development of a cooperation strategy and ad hoc consulting during a period of 12 months.
It is proposed that Ms. Delich and Mr. Marcelo Di Pietro, Director, WIPO Academy, undertake a mission to Quito on March 24 and 25, in order to meet with local authorities and update the existing managerial documentation (developed during phase I of the project), so as to develop a cooperation strategy and define expected results.
