In his letter of June 6, 2013 (Ref. No. 01-07/026) (copy attached), Mr. Irakli Ghvaladze, Chairman, National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti), requested WIPO to organize, in cooperation with Sakpatenti, a National workshop Working Together for Promoting Knowledge Transfer and IP Commercialization in Georgia, to be held in Tbilisi. Following the discussions held during the WIPO Assemblies, it was agreed to organize a sub-regional event instead of the national one and organize it in the beginning of 2014.
