This Workshop is a much welcome opportunity to learn about the latest research projects in the area of measuring the impact of design on innovation and economy. These considerations are at the heart of the current SCT work on a Design Law Treaty and informed the Study on the impact of the proposed DLT. Moreover, they will inform the implementation of the DA Project on Design Management, which is to be implemented by Program 2.
Furthermore, the mission to Brussels could be used to meet with officials of the Commission (DG Market and DG Trade) in order to promote the 2013 World Intellectual Property Report on Brands, to which the Law and Legislative Advice Division contributed in large portions. |
