WIPO's main interest in this meeting will be to promote its own tools for measuring the creative industriesm but also to enhance the understanding of the need for better statistics and data collection practices. The mission will also be used to advance cooperation between WIPO and other international organizations and governments in Latin America on specific national and multilateral projects. The meeting will present an opportunity to outline major elements of a successful copyright infrastructure. The intended participants are representatives of governement statistical agencies, IP authorities. |
