The objective of the mission would be to assist Ukraine to start working on the formulation of the IP Strategy upon careful assessment of specific needs, taking into account the particular development requirements of Ukraine.
In this regard, it is suggested that:
(i) Mr. Ronald Marchant, European IP Expert, undertake at the expense of WIPO an Expert Mission to Kyiv from June 25 to 27, 2013, in order to hold consultations and in-depth discussions with relevant governmental and non-governmental officials and authorities, which is going to be involved in the IP Strategy elaboration process, as well as other different stakeholders, including authors, inventors, patent attorneys, private sector representatives, to assess the needs for the elaboration of the IP Strategy and to provide SIPS with advisory assistance in this regard.
(ii) Mr. Marchant be offered a total remuneration of US$1,800, as a WIPO-engaged expert |
