The Forum will focus on the role of IP in economic growth and development in Africa. The program covers a wide array of current and emerging issues, some technical and others more policy-oriented. Informal discussions Mr. Wendland has had with the Department of Trade and Industry in South Africa (DTI) clarify that the expected participants (audience) will include government officials and representatives from industry, civil society, the legal profession and academia, from South Africa and the rest of Africa.
