During the 49th Series of Meetings and the General Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2011, the Africa Bureau held discussions with the delegation of the Republic of Kenya, and particularly with Dr. Henry K. Mutai, Managing Director, Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) on technical assistance in general and on the subject of the current status of the national IP Policy, in particular, which the Government of Kenya had initiated between 2005 and 2008.
