It has been foreseen under the Japan Funds-in-Trust Work Plan 2011-2012 for Africa and Least Developed Countries to provide the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) with CHF 50,000 for organizing in cooperation with the Japan Patent Office (JPO) the WIPO/ARIPO Seminar on Commercialization of Research & Development Results and Competitiveness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Further to consultations with the Director General of ARIPO and the JPO, it has been agreed to hold the Seminar in Harare, Zimbabwe, from April 16 to 20, 2012.
