Since the project to be developed in Nicaragua will be based on the methodology of the DA Project on IP and product branding, I was requested by the Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean to provide the necessary guidance on how to design and develop such a project.
In this regard, I propose to participate in the assessment mission in Managua from April 27 to 28, 2012, to hold a series of meetings with key stakeholders in the coffee and ceramics sectors. Although Nicaragua is not a pilot country under the DA project, this extension of my mission to Nicaragua is a cost-effective way to share the pilot experience to a neighboring interested country.
