Ciudad del Este has been strategically selected for this workshop as it is situated in the sensitive Tri-border region (Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina) with a high level of counterfeit and pirated goods. The workshop aims at analyzing and discussing a range of current developments and challenges relating to IP enforcement in the sub-region, including with a view to legislative frameworks; public-private cooperation; and the scope and socio-economic impact of counterfeiting and piracy in the sub-region. |
