As per the approved implementation document for the CDIP project on “Promoting the Use of IP in the Creative Industries in Developing Countries in the Digital Environment”, WIPO has developed several capacity-building tools and series of activities for creators in the digital age.
Following the recent presentation of our progress report to the CDIP on November 17, 2025, the Undersecretariat of International Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile and the National Directorate of Industrial Property, Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (DNPI), as two of the beneficiary countries of the project, have requested WIPO’s support to co-organize a regional mentorship webinar on the role of IP in the video games industry, specifically focusing on the legal status of video games in collaboration with Chile Creativo. It is suggested that we respond positively to the request of Chile and Uruguay and co-organize a regional webinar.
