The objectives of the International Symposium are to:
Provide an opportunity for China to share its experiences with intellectual property (IP) protection of TCEs, and for all participants to share their regional, national and local practices and experiences;
provide an opportunity for all participants to share experiences and case studies regarding IP and TCEs; and exchange views related to the international IP protection of TCEs.

The International Symposium is not formally part of the IGC negotiations, but provides instead an informative supplement to the text-based negotiations with a more evidence-based approach. |
