Mission to participate in the launch of the Creative Economy Data Model in Chile |

WIPO has developed the Creative Economy Data Model (CEDM) as a new tool to assess the creative capacity of economies. This comprehensive model evaluates the creative economy ecosystem of Member States and their regions by examining various indicators to support data-driven policy recommendations.
The Government of Chile has expressed formal interest in applying the CEDM in a letter by the Minister of Culture, and WIPO has responded positively. In coordination with the Undersecretariat of International Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it has been agreed to officially launch the CEDM on September 24-26, 2025 in Santiago, Chile.
The CEDM launch event will present the model in detail and outline the operational modalities for its implementation. Chile is the first country in the region to implement the CEDM. A successful launch is expected to have a strong signaling effect across the region. |
