This memorandum seeks your approval for one WIPO staff and one expert to attend in person meetings to kick off public-private cross-sectoral dialogue in Ghana and Nigeria as part of the CDIP Project on Development of Strategies and Tools to Address Online Copyright Piracy in the African Digital Market.
2. Two copyright enforcement experts (Dr. Galateia Kapellakou and Dr. Ioannis Kikkis) were recently contracted to serve as project consultants and prepare a set of studies to map online copyright piracy in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. In the meantime, the project consultants have made arrangements to sub-contract national consultants in consultation with the national copyright authorities. |
