With reference to the approved project proposal on Improving Market Access and Competitiveness of Traditional Medicine in Nigeria by Using Intellectual Property Promotion and Commercialization Strategies, the Traditional Knowledge Division and the Patents and Designs Registry of Nigeria had further discussions on the implementation of the project, in particular, the delivery of Component A of the project, which is a practical workshop aimed at building the capacity of traditional healers and local communities to effectively use intellectual property (IP) tools to protect their traditional medical knowledge (TMK). |
