To protect Kente weaving in the selected
regions/provinces and assist producers to obtain
better recognition for the quality of their Kente on
the market (both at national, regional and
international levels), and to put in place a wellthought-
out branding strategy for their promotion.
To strengthen the competitiveness of producers
of Kente originating from those regions/provinces
through strategic use of GIs and related IP rights.
To assist in safeguarding the livelihood of local
producers and prevent infringement of their rights |
