In 2023, the National Service of Intellectual Rights (SENADI) of Ecuador requested the organization of a PCT and ePCT Seminar in 2024, but for different reasons, the event was
postponed to 2025. Now, an agreement has been reached to organize it by the end of
March 2025, in two separate activities: a technical meeting with SENADI; and a public PCT
and ePCT Seminar for users.
The Seminar (March 28, 2025) will mainly address users and potential users, particularly
universities and research institutions, but first, a technical meeting with the patent area
at SENADI's headquarters (March 27) will take place to discuss issues concerning PCT
implementation and ePCT use, which will also pave the way for the seminar. The objective
of these activities is to provide an update on the PCT and ePCT while encouraging local applicants to use the system. |
