As per the approved implementation document for the CDIP Project on “Enhancing the Use of IP in the Creative Industries in Developing Countries in the Digital Environment”, one of the deliverables for 2023 is the organization of workshops in the beneficiary countries.
Chile, as one of the beneficiary countries of the project, has indicated its readiness to co-organize two workshops on the management of copyright in music in order to maximize from the presence of international experts – on December 5 in the city of Valparaíso, and on December 6 and 7 in the city of Santiago, Chile. Moreover, it has been agreed with the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Chile to organize a roundtable for consultations with the stakeholders of the project – government officials and creative industries associations on December 4, 2023 as well as to review the request for a study on the economic contribution of the creative industries in Chile. |
