Participation in the Guadalajara Book Fair, Mexico
The main purpose of WIPO’s participation will be to present the Global Publishing industry report prepared this year in collaboration with IPA and Nielsen Bookscan. The participation will include the presentation of the report on November 28, a press conference on November 27, participation in the International Forum of Editors and Book Professionals - IP Key on November 29 and meetings with publishers on November 30. These activities have been coordinated with IPA and the Guadalajara bookfair.
The presentation of the report to the biggest bookfair in Latin America will enable WIPO to demonstrate its engagement with the issue of data on publishing as WIPO is the main author of this report. The interactions with publishers will be used to present WIPO’s latest tools on IP and digital publishing and on the use of mobile apps in publishing and seek new partnerships. |
