The Conference will be an opportunity to promote South-South cooperation in the identification and exchange of good practices in IP support for businesses, assisting IP offices and business intermediaries in their support to SMEs and implementing training programs for the strategic use of IP assets.
(i) To provide a platform for highlighting the importance of IP for SMEs and for sharing IP best practices of SMEs in the African and Arab regions;
(ii) To encourage SMEs to use the IP system to promote and protect their innovations and creations and ensure that IP rights are taken into account in their business strategies. |
