As per the approved implementation document for the CDIP Project on “Enhancing the Use of IP in the Creative Industries in Developing Countries in the Digital Environment”, one of the deliverables for 2023 is the organization of workshops in the beneficiary countries.
The United Arab Emirates as one of the beneficiary countries of the project has indicated its readiness to co-organize the workshop on October 24-25, 2023 in Dubai. It has also been agreed with the Ministry of Economy of the UAE to organize a roundtable for consultations with the stakeholders of the project on October 26, 2023. The dates and arrangements for these activities have been confirmed with the new director for IP in the Ministry of the Economy in the UAE during meetings held at the WIPO General Assembly and further correspondence with the staff of the ministry. |
