Meeting of the IGO Working Group on Open Access co-organized with FAO |

Meeting of the International Governmental Organization (IGO) Working Group on Open Access Policy is led and chaired by WIPO.
The meeting has been organized by WIPO in
collaboration with the FAO, and will take place at FAO Headquarters in Rome from June 15 to June 16, with participants from the 30 institutions that make up the IGO Working
Group.
WIPO’s role as leader and chair of the Working Group has grown from the 2018
request from the CDIP to maintain an ongoing debate and exchange of experiences and
good practices among participating IGOs, with the goal to facilitate the implementation of
copyright policies of IGOs deciding to use Creative Commons licenses. Our work in this area is integral to WIPO’s open access strategy and is approved in the biennial workplan.
The objective of the workshop is to provide attendees with knowledge and a clear
roadmap to be able to implement or improve open access and open data in their
organizations. |
