The project herein is in progress. As you will recall, a sectoral Intellectual Property (IP) and business audit was carried out in January 2011, with the aim to assess the potential and ways of addressing the challenges faced by the Zanzibar clove sector, whose production and financial returns are on the decline despite an ever growing global organic foods market, increased recognition of the distinct taste and aroma of the Zanzibar cloves whose value has increased on the international retail market |
