1. The European Patent Office have requested that I visit Munich to help prepare for the forthcoming sessions of PCT/MIA and the Quality Subgroup.
2. A half day session is proposed on the MIA legal issues (including the collaborative search and examination, restoration of the right of priority, same day priorities and KIPO’s proposals on transmittal by the RO of earlier search and classification information, which is intended now to be the subject of a joint EPO-KIPO proposal). A day is then proposed on quality and metrics issues.
3. The invitation letter is attached. I recommend that we accept this invitation and that I travel to Munich for Monday 1 to Tuesday 2 December, 2014. |
