The Multi-Stakeholder Roundtable has been an important component of WIPO's cooperation with both IGOs and NGOs in the sensitive but crucial area of counterfeit medicines. Participation by WIPO to the third meeting sustains the Organization's leadership role in building cooperation on IP issues. In addition, knowledge of other key players' approaches to technical assistance on counterfeit medicines enables WIPO to constinuously enhance the quality of its own capacity building activities in this area. |
