This memorandum seeks your approval to organize a regional meeting to promote the most recent WIPE-administered treaties mentioned above with a view to a prompt ratification/accession in the region.
The proposed arrangements are as follows:
1. Title:
Regional Meeting for Arab Countries on the Beijing and Marrakesh Treaties
2. Venue: Muscat – Sultanate of Oman
3. Dates: April 1, 2015
4. Organizers: WIPO in cooperation with the Government of the Sultanate of Oman – Ministry of Commerce and Industry

by WIPO : Other than the host country (Oman), the heads of copyright offices of the following countries/organizations participating in regional meeting organized by CDD the preceding days:
Algeria, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Soudan, Syria, Tunisia, Qatar, Palestinian National Authority (PNA), United Arab Emirates, Yemen and the Head of the Intellectual Property Unit at the League of Arab States (21).
