Sub-regional Workshop and Fact Finding Mission for Central America and the Dominican Republic on IP Commercialization and Technology Transfer |

This activity aims at establishing a Pilot Program and to plan for WIPO’s technical assistance in the medium term in favor of: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic. These activities are being organized by the Innovation Structures Section (ISS), SMEs and Entrepreneurship Support Division (SESD), in close collaboration with the General Directorate of Industrial Property Registry (DIGERPI) from Panama and the WIPO Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC Bureau).
The Workshop and Fact-finding mission are planned in order to meet, discuss and assess the IP management level of the pre-selected beneficiary universities of the 8 countries. The proposal is to design a Pilot Project to be implemented in the medium (3 years) to long term (6 years), following the assessment of the needs of the institutions in the 8 countries and the relevant infrastructures. |
