Ms. Zain Al Awamleh, Director, Industrial Property Protection Directorate- Ministry of Industry and Trade and Supply, requested, on behalf of the Government of Jordan, WIPO technical and financial assistance in organizing an Advance Training of Trainers Program on Effective Intellectual Property Asset Management by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to be held in Amman, Jordan in 2016. The request was made during WIPO Assemblies in October 2015. The requested TOT Program is a follow-up to a Basic TOT that was successfully held in Amman, Jordan, from June 23 to 26, 2014. The holding of the event provided an opportunity to extend invitation to participants from Syria and Palestine, hence, transforming the event to a sub-regional event. Ms. Al Awamleh, was consulted by phone on the making the event a sub-regional one and she agreed. |
