WIPO support to National Training on Trademarks and National Workshop on Origin-Based Distinctive Signs and Field Mission on Appellation of Origin for Tobacco Producers |
| Descripción: |
(1) To provide Training on Trademarks addressed to competent staff of the National Intellectual Property Registry of Nicaragua (April 26);
(2) To contribute to a National Workshop on the effective use of origin-based distinctive signs, the objective being to strengthen the audience's knowledge of distinctive signs and to foster their protection and use to increase the competitiveness of national origin-based agricultural and handicraft products (April 27); and
(3) Field mission to hold meetings with national tobacco producers that are undertaking the first steps towards developing a protection strategy based on an appellation of origin for the particular province of Estelí.
These activities are organized in the framework of the World IP Day Celebrations. |
