The objectives of the Workshop would be to:
- Impart basic knowledge of the main principles, systems and tools of the IP system and how they relate to Senegalese ILCs, emphasizing the potential value that IP could bring in support of TK and TCEs protection;
- Foster cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Communication of Senegal, ASPIT and ILCs.
- Identify needs in relation to the enhanced protection of TK and TCEs, and assist the participants in exploring opportunities for and identifying sources of support and assistance to meet those needs. |
