Within the framework of the Enabling IP Environment to Increase the Capacity for Innovation and Creativity Project, WIPO organized the Assessment Mission and National Workshop on the establishing of a networked community to increase the capacity and pace for technology scouting, absorption, adaptation and innovation from June 14 to 17, 2016, the follow-up mission from September 7 to 10, 2016 and the final mission from November 17 to 18, 2016 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in cooperation with NIPOS and with the assistance of the JPO, as part of the long-term initiative to increase the capacity and pace for technology scouting, absorption, adaptation and innovation in Sri Lanka. As a next phase of the Project, it is proposed to organize a WIPO patent drafting course from July 24 to 28, 2017, based on confirmation by NIPOS and the colleagues from the Patent Law Division. |
