WIPO-ASEAN Information Technology (IT) Workshop on the Digital Transformation of Industrial Property (IP) Office Business Services and ASEAN PatentScope Coordinator Meeting |

With reference to the approved Work Plan of FIT/Japan (Industrial Property) for the fiscal year 2017-2018 (copy attached), the Trust Fund will provide financial support to two workshops to support the development of Industrial Property (IP) Office Services in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region and some selected countries. The proposed WIPO-ASEAN Information Technology (IT) Workshop is the first one in the series as planned to present the recent technical development of WIPO business solutions to support the digital transformation of business services in the region and to better utilize the Industrial Property Administration System (IPAS) and other WIPO software for that purpose.
In order to sustain the data collection mechanism and to agree on future service features from the ASEAN PatentScope Services, it is also proposed to organize the ASEAN PatentScope Coordinator Meeting in conjuction with the IT Workshop. Last day of the workshop will be set aside to arrange the ASEAN PatentScope Coordinator Meeting. |
