Objectives:
(a) To discuss the implementation strategy and
capacity-building activities of the Enabling IP Environment Project on technology transfer office and IP management;
(b) To level expectations on university technology transfer office mandates, functions, organization, operations and required competencies; and
(c) To provide an overview of IP-based technology transfer and commercialization process, dynamics and nuances of licensing.
Venues and Dates:
(i) Take part in "Institutional IP Policy Discussion" from September 11 to 12, 2017, Colombo. DSA will be paid by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), the United States Department of Commerce.
(ii) Visit three institutions from September 13 to 15, 2017:
- University of Colombo, Colombo
- University of Moratuwa, Colombo
- University of Ruhunamatara, Matara. |
