The above mentioned event deals with women/gender and innovation and has a critical dimension in food security, not least because women are the world’s primary food producers, especially in areas of poverty. The poorer the region, the higher the percent of women and children engaged in agriculture. I propose to participate in this meeting in order to interview as many stakeholders as possible. In addition, I would explore opportunities to contribute to the conference insights from my work on the South African framework for commercializing public research outcomes which is on the agenda on the last day. |
