Reference is made to the request of the Permanent Mission of Tunisia concerning technical assistance for the management of resale right and reprographic rights.
In this regard, you will recall that, as agreed with the national authorities, a mission was undertaken in December 2017, by Mr. Olav Stokkmo, on behalf of WIPO, to assess the needs of the office and develop a project document to guide future assistance for the institution of systems for the management of reprographic rights. One of the outcomes of the mission is the attached draft project document that was discussed with Mr. Youssef Ben Brahim, Director General, Organisme tunisien des droits d'auteurs et droits voisins (OTDAV).
One of the actions foreseen in the said document requiring assistance from WIPO is the organization of back-to-back events (one day each) in the form of Workshops on resale right and reprography, and an Awareness Raising Seminar, in Tunis, in March 2018. The details of this component were discussed in detail during a telephone conversation held with Mr. Ben Brahim on February 1st, 2018, and thus the following arrangements are proposed for the delivery of the requested assistance: |
