The objective of this Regional Meeting is to review what has been achieved since the previous Seventh Regional Coordination Meeting held in Jordan in December 2015, in respect to the recommendations agreed on by the Heads of Arab Industrial Property Offices.
Moreover, this Meeting also aims at evaluating the current level of cooperation among Arab IP Offices, as well as the cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in terms of the challenges and the prospects of future cooperation at the bilateral, sub-regional and regional levels. Lastly, the Meeting is also expected to consider possible future joint activities and projects between individual Arab countries, as well as the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), with WIPO. |
