1. Regional Workshop on 40 Years of PCT - Ensuring It Continues to Empower Innovators, May 23 and 24, 2018
- To provide a forum that allows for open communications between attendees, user group representatives and WIPO i.e. participants receive information on PCT developments and tools to help increase efficiency, whilst WIPO gains the opportunity to hear from IP Offices and PCT users on ways the system can be improved to meet their changing needs.
2. Regional Seminar on the International Legal Framework and Multilateral Agenda in the Field of Patents
- To increase awareness of the countries in Asia and the Pacific region on the Budapest Treaty and the PLT, and promote accession to the said treaties;
- To stir interest in the SCP activities within national patent offices in the region in order to strengthen their involvement in the SCP. |
