In his letter of December 5, 2017, Mr. Alisher Fayzullaev, Director General, Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Uzbekistan (AIPU), requested WIPO to support the organization of a study visit for the representatives of the AIPU to the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, in April 2018.
WIPO’s commitment to assist the AIPU in this endeavor was confirmed in the letter dated December 20, 2017, from the Director General to Mr. Fayzullaev.
The objectives of the Study Visit would be to gain experience of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office related to filing and processing patent, utility model, design and trademark applications, especially in electronic form (including the electronic filing system, development and maintenance of IT tools for the above procedures), and to discuss practical issues and lessons learned in these fields. |
