In his letter of November 28, 2017, Mr. Piotr Broukin, Director General, National Center of Intellectual Property of Belarus (NCIP), requested WIPO to assist NCIP in organizing a Sub-Regional Seminar on IP Policies for Universities and Research Institutions to be held in Belarus in May 2018.
WIPO commitment to assist NCIP in this endeavor was confirmed in the letter dated December 13, 2017, from the Director General to Mr. Broukin.
The objective of the event would be raising awareness about the importance of the development of IP policies in participating universities and research institutions, using the WIPO IP Toolkit for Academic Institutions, and exchanging best practices/lessons learned in this field. |
