This annual international meeting gathers leading legal experts to discuss issues and best practices surrounding free and open software licenses. It is regarded as the world’s premier event in this field. It is organized by the Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE), a charity association to support all aspects of the free software movement in Europe.
Our participation in the Workshop would serve as training and to collect updated information in this field. Furthermore, the Workshop is intended for professional networking and collaboration in the free software community; thus it would be an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of and promote WIPO’s activities including in this area, such as: the Development Agenda projects, the WIPO Open Access Policy project, and our collaborations with other organizations (e.g. WSIS forum, IGF). |
