Taking into account the fact that the countdown has begun for the preparation of the accession of China, the consultative meeting with SIPO is absolutely necessary to settle a number of pending issues, such as: (1) The possible solution of the Chinese version of the E filing interface (see attached copy of the consideration relating to a Chinese version of the E-filing interface under the Hague system); (2) The declarations which will probably be made in the instrument of accession; and (3) How to receive applications which will designate China through the Hague system and proceed with the timely substantive examination, and so on. In this regard, Mr. Lu has been coordinating with SIPO and received a positive reaction from SIPO that this would be a good opportunity to settle the remaining issues and should not be missed.
