Reference is made to the approved memorandum on the preparation of National Innovation and Intellectual Property Policy and Strategy for Ethiopia (copy attached). The International Consultant as well as the National Consultant employed by WIPO have completed the preparation of the draft document. Preliminary review of the draft has been undertaken by the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office (EIPO) in coordination with WIPO. As regards subsequent steps, consultations between EIPO and WIPO recommended to organize multi-stakeholders meeting in Addis Ababa to allow for a broad based national discussion on the draft document. |
