The objective of the Workshop would be to discuss the actual issues of copyright and related rights protection and enforcement in the digital environment, including measures to fight against counterfeiting and piracy, development of the legislative framework, and exchange best practices in this field.
In his letter of June 5, 2013, Mr. Mykola Kovinya, Chairman, State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine (SIPS), requested the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to assist SIPS in the organization of two Seminars on the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks, in Kharkiv, on October 8, 2013, and in Odessa, on October 10, 2013.
WIPO’s commitment to assist SIPS in this endeavor was confirmed in the letter dated July 1, 2013 , from the Director General to Mr. Kovinya. |
