WIPO Workshop on Building Respect for IP |
| Description: |
A national workshop on building respect for IP was agreed to be held in Kulala Lumpur on October 10 & 11 after consultations between the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) and WIPO, & after MyIPO expressed this request to the last General Assemblies.
The objectives of the workshop are to:
- discuss the implementation of Part III of the TRIPS Agreement;
- consider the role of IP awareness as a preventive measure;
- provide stakeholders with the necessary information on how to develop & implement national awareness-raising strategies;
- foster strategic cooperation between stakeholders from public & private sectors. |
