We received a request from the National Industrial Property Office of Sao Tomé and Principe for the assistance of WIPO in organizing a National Forum on Intellectual Property.
We would propose to support the request. The Forum affords a unique opportunity to explore, with the national authorities and other important stakeholders, the intention of the country in the use of the Intellectual Property (IP) system for national development, determine the priorities and discuss the way forward with the input of related parties.
Sao Tomé is also among a selected group of countries for which an IP and product brand strategy is being elaborated and therefore the scope of the project, requirements, objectives and expectations in addition to other important details may be discussed during the Forum with interested parties. |
