Identify and assess existing IP knowledge focusing on gaps and needs related to protecting the project beneficiaries’ goods and/or services, highlighting key areas of shared interest to strengthen their IP awareness and capacity.
ii. Identify and map potential or existing IP assets owned by the project beneficiaries, and pinpoint key areas to better safeguard and leverage their work.
iii. Collect information and assess the general IP regulatory context (legal and administrative arrangements), linked to the Kenyan MSMEs ecosystem (if existing).
iv. Identify business opportunities for project beneficiaries and provide specific examples of national or regional renowned use of IP in the selected sector.
v. Provide initial proposals / recommendations for the use of IP to boost the beneficiaries’ business, including topics and structure for the Training and Mentorship Programs. |
