WIPO has developed the Creative Economy Data Model (CEDM), a policy tool designed to evaluate the creative capacity of national economies. The framework assesses the creative economy ecosystem of Member States through a set of indicators that support evidence-based policymaking. The CEDM is currently being implemented in several countries across different regions, with growing interest from additional countries seeking to apply the model with WIPO’s support.
The Philippines has been the first pilot country to apply the CEDM. To present the initial findings of the National Diagnostic Report on its creative ecosystem, it is proposed to organize a high-level event in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Philippines and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). The event will take place in Manila on June 8-9, with the participation of Deputy Director General Sylvie Forbin. |
