This Memorandum is submitted for your approval of a training event on ePCT Receiving Office functionalities, scheduled to be conducted on December 2-3, 2025, in Newport, United Kingdom. The training has been formally requested by the Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) in its capacity as Receiving Office (RO/GB). In preparation for the decommissioning of EPO Online Filing by year-end, UKIPO intends to adopt ePCT as its primary tool for processing PCT applications. Given that RO/GB processed in excess of 3,000 PCT applications in the previous year, this training is essential to ensure a seamless transition from their current backend system to ePCT. This on-site training will complement the two online training sessions conducted during the week of November 13-17. |
