Title: Training, Mentoring and Matchmaking Program on Intellectual Property for Women Entrepreneurs from Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities from Mexico, Central America, and the Dominican Republic (WEP MexCARD)
Description: In the context of its Community Enterprises Program (the CEP), the Traditional Knowledge Division (TKD) of WIPO provides assistance to Indigenous peoples as well as local communities (IPLCs) to make strategic and effective use of intellectual property tools in support of their community-based businesses. 2.One of the TKD’s flagship activities under that Program is the WIPO Training, Mentoring and Matchmaking Program on Intellectual Property for Women Entrepreneurs from Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (the WEP). Launched in 2019, the WEP has completed three global cycles to date, along with three regional cycles - focused respectively on the Andean countries, the Central European and Baltic States, and the Pacific Island Countries - and one national cycle in Colombia.
