A virtual workshop on intellectual property and traditional medical knowledge was organized in December 2023. A number of the publications on traditional knowledge, in particular traditional medical knowledge, were translated into Portuguese and shared with Service National de la Propriété Intellectuelle et de la Qualité (SENAPIQ-STP) in November 2024.
To conclude the LDC graduation package, it is proposed to organize a training for traditional healers and practitioners in Sao Tome and Principe to build their capacity and skills in intellectual property so as to effectively use the intellectual property system to protect their traditional medical knowledge and promote the traditional medicine related products and services. |
